Militants
in Nigeria's Niger Delta Monday said they had attacked an oil pipeline
operated by the state-run Nigerian National Petroleum Corp. Sunday after
their demand for an economic development conference wasn't met.
In
a statement, the Niger Delta Liberation Force said it had "struck the
major pipeline belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company,
NNPC, near Batan flow in Delta State last Sunday night at about 11.30pm
5th December.
